Promise Fellow: Afterschool Program

Lexy Howard is a Promise Fellow who will serve as Afterschool Program Promise Fellow at The Kiln, supporting both middle and high school students. She will help middle school youth connect with peer mentors and strengthen their social-emotional skills, while also guiding high school students through independent living skills, college preparedness, and health and wellness activities. Lexy’s goal is to create a welcoming “third space” where students feel a sense of belonging outside of home and school. Through her work, Lexy aims to ensure that every student is connected to a caring adult or peer and feels more engaged with their community.
