RiseUp Staff Attend StriveTogether’s National Policy Summit
On June 12, RiseUp Partnership attended StriveTogether’s 2025 National Policy Summit in Washington, DC. The summit offered an opportunity to meet with staff from the offices of U.S. Senator Tina Smith, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, and U.S. Representative Brad Finstad. During these meetings, RiseUp Partnership shared information about the programs and initiatives currently being led by the Goodhue County Education District and the Partnership, all focused on supporting students and families in the region.
The meetings also provided a platform to highlight the essential work of the Parent Advisory Committee and the Community Youth Council, which both play a critical role in ensuring that youth and family voices remain central to decision-making. Participants discussed the growing needs faced by families and youth, particularly in the areas of mental health, stability, and access to vital resources. The meetings were an opportunity to highlight the positive outcomes achieved through the Family Navigator position, a role that has been instrumental in building trust and connecting families to the support they need.
In addition to advocacy, the summit offered a valuable opportunity to learn from peer organizations across the country who are implementing innovative strategies to address common challenges and promote equitable outcomes for children and families nationwide.
