Groundwork Fellow: Youth Voice & Cultural Events Coordinator

Olivia Mercado is the Youth Voice & Cultural Events Coordinator. In this role, she will increase RiseUp Partnership's capacity to engage youth as leaders in planning and promoting inclusive cultural events and activities in partnership with local schools and community partners. She will develop student-centered communication strategies, elevate youth voice in event design, and support culturally responsive storytelling across platforms. Through this work, Olivia will build tools and systems that help RiseUp sustain youth-led communications and ensure that cultural celebrations reflect the diverse identities of our students and families.
